I Took a Social Media Break

Hi friends! It’s been a while, hasn’t it? I just took about a 9-month social media break. Just haven’t felt into it (and that’s okay). Do you ever feel like that? But I’m back now with a clearer vision of what I want to do here. Anyway so here we are, I’m back. Let me share 3 reasons why it is so so GOOD to take a break!

3 reasons to take a social media break

I definitely have a love-and-hate relationship with social media. On one hand, it is hard for me to put myself out there and then on the other hand I know it’s a necessary part of the online business world that I’m trying to be a part of. However, I’m feeling better about what I want to put out in the world now. So my main goal is to consistently blog and put out new content here and on social media on a weekly basis.

Here Are My Top Three Reason Why I took a social media break

Your Mental Health is Above Everything Else

This is my number one reason why it is good to take a social media break. Your mental health! It is so important to stop doing anything that is not working for you at any time. It’s not worth it if it is making you stressed out. As I am getting back online I am going to try and batch content as much as possible so I am not stressing about what to post and when.

Take A Social Media Break Because You Need to Get Out of a Creative Funk

Not feeling inspired or motivated? This is another thing I was feeling. I just needed to step away and feel inpsired again. The constant scolling and FOMO you get is draining. I needed to focus on other things this year.

You Want To Spend Quality Time With Your Loved Ones

Body sentences about Point 3. Remember, always create paragraph breaks where they fit / every 2-5 sentences to make your blog post easy to read.

And most important above ll I just wanted to be in the present with the boys. I wanted to stop feeling like I had to document every signle thing or outing we did. I’ve decided I’m not going to post anymore to my feed about them. But I will still share in stories behind the sceens and things we are doing in real-time – when I feel inspired to do so.

Now that we are approaching the end of the year and winter break and Holidays . It’s the perfect time to take a social media break. Have you taken one before? Let me know in the comments if you have some tips/tricks to take a social media break.
